While the war between the US-Israel and Iran continues with all its intensity, claims of intense flights by Turkish F-16 fighter jets in Antalya have caused an uproar. The Presidency of Communications stated that the claim, which was also reported by some media outlets, does not reflect the truth, announcing that the mentioned flights are planned test activities within the scope of the HÜRJET project conducted by Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc.

Reports of loud noises being heard in the city and fighter jets flying intensively in the area quickly became a trending topic.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT FOLLOWING THE CLAIMS
Following the claims, a statement was made by the Disinformation Combat Center (DMC). In a statement from DMC's social media account, it was noted that the claim mentioned in some posts does not reflect the truth.
"TEST ACTIVITIES"
The statement expressed that the flights conducted in the skies of Antalya are planned test activities under the HÜRJET project carried out by Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc.
"MILITARY MOBILITY IS NOT IN QUESTION"
The DMC statement included the following remarks: "During these test flights conducted over the sea area, which took off from Antalya Airport Command, loud noises similar to explosions may be heard due to the aircraft occasionally reaching supersonic speeds. There is no unusual military mobility as claimed."
The statement also emphasized that citizens should be cautious against posts circulating on social media that could cause panic. DMC called on the public to follow only the statements made by official authorities.
