The AK Party has accelerated its transfer negotiations with metropolitan municipalities and members of parliament. Allegedly, the AK Party is gauging interest in Afyonkarahisar, Balıkesir, and Bursa, while a noteworthy behind-the-scenes discussion regarding Istanbul has also emerged.

The political transfer traffic of the AK Party has gained momentum. TGRT News Ankara Representative Fatih Atik stated that discussions are ongoing not only with members of parliament but also with metropolitan and district municipalities, mentioning that meetings centered around Afyonkarahisar, Balıkesir, Bursa, and Izmit are on the agenda.

TRANSFER TRAFFIC CONTINUES

Speaking on the Media Critique program, Atik expressed that the transfer process is ongoing and that new badge-wearing ceremonies may be seen in the coming days. He emphasized that the process is not limited to members of parliament, noting that discussions are also being held with mayors of strategic importance.

THERE ARE THOSE WHO WANT TO JOIN AND ALSO...

According to the information shared by Atik, the discussions are centered around metropolitan municipalities such as Afyonkarahisar, Balıkesir, and Bursa, as well as the central district of Kocaeli, Izmit. Atik mentioned that some mayors want to join the AK Party on their own initiative, while others have been invited by the AK Party.

RESISTANCE POINTS WITHIN THE PARTY

Atik noted that the transfers do not conclude quickly and stated that there can be objections to these processes within the AK Party. He conveyed that "There are resistance points within the AK Party, sometimes there are objections. These matters take a bit longer," indicating that internal balances also play a role in the process.

ISTANBUL BACKROOM: IT IS POSSIBLE

Atik expressed that a similar possibility regarding a district in Istanbul is being discussed, stating that this information comes not from the AK Party but from within the CHP. Atik said, "Could there be a district in Istanbul? It is possible. I hear this not from the AK Party, but from within the CHP itself."
