A horrific murder took place in a luxury penthouse apartment in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico. Jonathan Melendez, a 38-year-old composer who played the keyboard in a music group, his pregnant wife Ana Paola, their 3-year-old daughter, and a young person working at the home lost their lives in a gun attack. The family's pet dog was also killed.
6-YEAR-OLD CHILD FOUND ALIVE
According to authorities' statements, teams entering the home encountered a horrifying scene. Melendez's 6-year-old child was found unharmed in the apartment. It was stated that Ana Paola, who lost her life, was approximately 4 months pregnant.
FOUND BOUND WITH DUCT TAPE
In a statement made by the Mexico State Attorney General's Office, it was reported that the victims and the family's pet dog were found bound with duct tape.
Initial examinations determined that the 3-year-old girl and two other individuals were shot in the head, while one person was killed by a gunshot to the back.
TWO SUSPECTS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
The Attorney General's Office announced that two suspects considered to be connected to the murders have been taken into custody. It is assessed that one of the suspects may have entered the apartment using their connection to Melendez.
