A ceremony was held for police officer Tayfun Baş, who was martyred in a armed attack while responding to a KADES report in Muğla. I am only sad that I will be left without you. You have become a martyr, my lion husband." The martyr's body was sent off to Denizli for burial after prayers.

At the ceremony held for the martyred police officer, his wife Özlem Baş, who is also a police officer, made a farewell speech that led to emotional moments.

The incident occurred at a beauty center in the Menteşe district of Muğla. Tayfun Baş, a staff member of the Muğla Police Department Public Order Branch, who went to the address following a KADES report, was attacked with a firearm by Gökhan Y., a sergeant and ex-husband of the business owner Hande Sincar.
In the attack, police officer Tayfun Baş and Hande Sincar were injured, while the suspect later attempted suicide.
Tayfun Baş, who was taken to the hospital, could not be saved despite all medical interventions and was martyred. It was learned that Hande Sincar's treatment continues, and Gökhan Y., who was seriously injured, is under treatment in the hospital.
WIFE'S FAREWELL CAUSED EMOTIONAL MOMENTS
A ceremony was held in the garden of the Muğla Police Department for the martyred police officer. Protocol members, police personnel, relatives, and citizens attended the ceremony.
The martyr's wife, Özlem Baş, who spoke at the ceremony, moved everyone with her words addressed to her husband.
Özlem Baş said, "Tayfun, don't be afraid, recite the Shahada, you are going to heaven. I am just sad that I will be without you. You became a martyr, my lion of a husband."
Then, calling her daughter to her side, Özlem Baş said, "Your father became an angel. But he will always protect us. Because my daughter is now a martyr's daughter," and tearfully bid farewell to her husband.

At the ceremony, the biography of the martyred police officer was read, and after a Quran recitation and prayer, the body was sent to Denizli for burial.
