In the UEFA Europa League, Trabzonspor, which suffered a heavy defeat against Ferencvaros, saw its head coach Fatih Tekke announce his resignation. Tekke's resignation was not accepted by the management.
In the rematch of the UEFA Europa League play-off round, Hungarian representative Ferencvaros and Trabzonspor faced off. The match played at Groupama Arena ended with a 4-0 victory for the home team.

After the match, Trabzonspor's head coach Fatih Tekke announced his resignation from his position.

MANAGEMENT DID NOT ACCEPT THE RESIGNATION
In the statement published on the club's website, it was noted that Tekke decided to resign due to the emotional intensity caused by the defeat after the Ferencvaros match, stating, "As the Trabzonspor Board of Directors, the resignation decision of our head coach Fatih Tekke has not been accepted."
The statement also included: "Fatih Tekke continues his duty as head coach and will lead our team in the match against Amedspor we will play in the league."
