"EVERYTHING IS NORMAL, NO NEED TO PANIC"
A striking assessment came from Prof. Dr. Övgün Ahmet Ercan, a Geophysicist, regarding the earthquake whose epicenter was announced to be off the coast of Silivri. Ercan stated that there is no cause for concern, saying, "Today, there was a 4.0 magnitude earthquake, the smallest size, in the west, towards M. Ereğlisi, from the focus of a 6.2 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Silivri. It is an aftershock of the main earthquake that has diminished. Everything is normal, no need to panic."
