Temperatures, which are above seasonal averages, will suddenly drop over the weekend. According to the forecasts of the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM); extreme temperatures will give way to heavy rain in parts of the Western and Black Sea regions.
TEMPERATURES WILL RISE UP TO 37 DEGREES
Experts predict that dangerous temperatures will continue until Friday due to a heat wave coming from North Africa. While temperatures in different regions of Istanbul are expected to rise between 34-37 degrees, experts have warned that the hours between 11:00 and 16:00 are the most risky times for sunstroke, advising against going outside.
HEAVY RAIN IS COMING THIS WEEKEND
According to MGM's forecasts, air temperatures will continue to remain above seasonal averages. In Istanbul, temperatures that will exceed 37 degrees will drop to as low as 25 degrees starting from Sunday. However, extreme temperatures will continue to be effective in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions.
