President Erdoğan received the DEM Party delegation today at the Presidential Complex as part of the "Terror-Free Turkey" initiative. During the meeting with the delegation consisting of Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, the process and the steps to be taken were discussed in detail. Meanwhile, the first photo from the critical meeting has also emerged.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar from the DEM Party delegation.
The meeting at the Presidential Complex was held behind closed doors. AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala and MIT President İbrahim Kalın also attended the meeting. While the first photos from the meeting were shared, the process and the steps to be taken were discussed in detail.
MAIN AGENDA: A TERROR-FREE TURKEY
The main agenda of the meeting is the goal of a "terror-free Turkey and terror-free region." In this context, it is stated that the most important topics on the table include the terrorist organization's disarmament, destruction of its weapons, and surrender. It is expected that the process will not be limited to Turkey alone but will be addressed regionally, including the terrorist organization's extensions in Syria, Iraq, and Iran.
DEM PARTY MADE A STATEMENT BEFORE THE MEETING
The DEM Party delegation from Imralı made a statement to the press at the Turkish Grand National Assembly before going to the Presidential Complex to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. DEM Party Van Deputy Pervin Buldan stated, "We believe it will be an important meeting. Since the process began, we have been meeting with the President from time to time. There is a certain stage that the process has reached. Now, there is a great expectation as the report of the parliamentary commission has entered the writing phase. We have important agendas regarding how the process will progress in our meeting with the President today. After the meeting, we will make a written statement. We will inform you and the public. We said it is an important meeting. We hope it will lead to good outcomes," she expressed.
"WE HAVE PROPOSALS, WE WILL PRESENT THEM"
DEM Party Şanlıurfa Deputy Mithat Sancar stated, "Since the last developments, significant changes have occurred both in Turkey and Syria. Additionally, we have reached the final stage in the works of the parliamentary commission. We will address these with the President. Of course, we will share our views. We have proposals, and we will present them. Work is currently ongoing regarding the joint report of the parliamentary commission. A conclusion has not yet been reached on this matter," he explained.
