Yılmaz Vural stated that he is in transfer talks with a team from Saudi Arabia while making harsh criticisms regarding the preferences for coaches in Turkish football and the national team issue.
Finally, Yılmaz Vural, who has been in charge of Sarıyer and has not taken on a role since October, announced that he received a transfer offer from abroad. The experienced coach was a live guest on Radyospor with Salim Manav.
"I AM IN DISCUSSIONS WITH A TEAM FROM SAUDI ARABIA"
The 73-year-old coach stated that he is in contact with a club from Saudi Arabia, saying, "We recently had discussions with a team from the Saudi Arabian League. Our talks are ongoing. It wouldn't be right for me to disclose too many details about the offer because they requested it. They are looking at it positively as a result of the offer; they know us. So there is a possibility." he expressed.
CRITICISM OF THE NATIONAL TEAM PREFERENCE
Yılmaz Vural also touched on the preference for a foreign coach in the A National Football Team, stating, "There are around 700 UEFA Pro Licensed coaches. Among so many people, Turkey cannot find a coach to manage its national team. Shouldn't we ask our federation this? Am I the one training these coaches? If you can't train them, that's your fault." he said.
HARSH WORDS TO CLUB MANAGEMENTS
Speaking about the preferences of clubs for coaches, Vural drew attention with his words, "Just because a coach asked for less money, should he be hired? Are you buying pears, brother? When it suits us, we are nationalists; when it suits us, we are the best believers, but in this country, nothing is consumed other than the rights of others!"
