First resignation at TFF: Ahmet Köse has stepped down from his position.

The member of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Executive Board for Foreign Relations, Ahmet Köse, announced that he has resigned from his position.

While TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu was speaking live yesterday, a call for resignation for the TFF President was shared from Galatasaray. In response to Galatasaray's invitation for the TFF President to resign during the live broadcast, Hacıosmanoğlu stated, "You are the president of Galatasaray, I am the TFF president today, of course, I will leave this presidency, and you will also leave the presidency of Galatasaray. The cost of this will be very heavy." Following these remarks from Hacıosmanoğlu, TFF Executive Board Member for Foreign Relations Ahmet Köse announced his resignation.

THE FIRST RESIGNATION HAS COME

In Ahmet Köse's statement, he said, "In recent days, it has become clear to the entire sports public that the Turkish Football Federation Presidency and its relevant boards have deviated from the principles of impartiality, transparency, and accountability, compromising justice in order to create balance, displaying an adversarial attitude that disregards success, effort, and labor. Unfortunately, the Turkish Football Federation is being managed with a primitive perspective rather than being governed. The concepts of loyalty and merit have been confused with each other. Due to the responsibility I feel because the statements and actions of our federation have become diametrically opposed, I am resigning from my position as a member of the Executive Board for Foreign Relations," he stated.

WHO IS AHMET KÖSE?

Ahmet Köse is one of the businessmen serving as a member of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Executive Board for Foreign Relations. He has a career particularly active in the field of information technology and software in the United States. He was part of the renewed TFF Executive Board for Foreign Relations under the presidency of İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu in 2024. While Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Birpınar presides over the board, there are many well-known figures from public administration and the sports world alongside Ahmet Köse.
