In the Orhangazi district of Bursa, a luxury car collided with an SUV coming from the opposite direction. Three people in the car lost their lives at the scene of the accident. The driver of the SUV, who was found hiding among the bushes, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol.
A Mercedes car with license plate 06 EMB 514, driven by Ferhat Hoş, collided with an SUV with license plate 16 BAP 990, driven by Y.S., heading in the opposite direction towards Orhangazi from Iznik. The vehicles sustained significant damage. Due to the force of the collision, the SUV veered off the road and came to a stop after hitting olive trees.
3 PEOPLE DIED AT THE SCENE
The driver Ferhat Hoş, along with his passenger Mesut Hoş and his brother-in-law Gürsel Hoş, who were in the heavily damaged luxury car, lost their lives at the scene. The SUV driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. After the accident, fire, gendarmerie, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The individuals who lost their lives in the vehicle were extracted by the fire department after approximately an hour of work.
DRUNK DRIVER CAUGHT IN THE BUSHES
The teams that arrived at the scene could not find the SUV driver in the vehicle. A search was conducted in the area for the driver, who was thought to have left the accident site. Y.S., 47 years old, was found hiding in the bushes near the accident site after about half an hour of search efforts. It was determined that Y.S. was injured and after the initial examination by medical teams, he was taken by ambulance to Orhangazi State Hospital. It was learned that Y.S. was not in life-threatening condition and had a blood alcohol level of 1.40 promille. After the investigations by the Orhangazi Chief Public Prosecutor and the crime scene investigation teams were completed, the bodies were taken to the morgue of Orhangazi State Hospital. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
