In a new development regarding the investigation initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against Buket Özgünlü, the President of the Association for Life-Holding Paws, known on social media as 'dog guardian', and 8 suspects, there has been a recent update.

In the investigation conducted by the Smuggling and Organized Crimes Investigation Bureau, 7 suspects who were detained were brought to the Ankara Courthouse after their procedures at the police station.

3 PEOPLE ARRESTED

The suspects who gave statements to the public prosecutor were referred to the duty magistrate court with a request for arrest on charges of "abuse of trust due to service" and "money laundering from crime-related assets."

Among the suspects, Buket Özgünlü, Demet Kılıç, and Ertan Işık were arrested for these crimes, while T.S, E.K, F.Ö., and C.Ö. were released under judicial control.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On November 29, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a detention order for 9 suspects, including association managers, who were alleged to have gained unjust profits by misappropriating donations collected under the name of the "Association for Life-Holding Paws."

It was determined that one of the suspects with a detention order was abroad, while another was released under judicial control after the prosecutor's interrogation. The expert report created regarding the association stated that the suspects caused a loss of 20 million lira.
