Kocaeli Provincial Police Department teams tracked down H.B. as part of their operations targeting wanted individuals. Following technical and physical surveillance, the address where the fugitive woman resided was identified.

During the operation at the identified address, teams encountered a striking detail while searching the house. H.B. was found hiding in a specially prepared secret compartment behind a dresser in the bedroom, large enough for one person to fit into.
