Son-in-law spread terror by shooting his father-in-law in the middle of the street in Ankara

Tension within a family in Ankara turned into violence on the street. In the Mamak district, a dispute between a son-in-law and his father-in-law quickly escalated into a fight involving guns and knives. Murat Güven wounded his father-in-law, Muharrem Güven, with a gun. While the seriously injured father-in-law was taken to the hospital, one person involved in the fight was taken into custody.

In the Mamak district of Ankara, a family tension turned into an armed and knife fight on the street. Son-in-law Murat Güven shot his father-in-law Muharrem Güven with a pistol, while the father-in-law's son injured Murat Güven with a knife. Two people were taken to the hospital in the incident, and one suspect was detained.

THE ARGUMENT STARTED ON THE STREET 

The incident occurred at noon on Şehitler Street in Cengizhan Neighborhood, Mamak district. According to allegations, Muharrem Güven took his daughter, whom he claimed was subjected to violence by her husband Murat Güven, to his own home. When Murat Güven encountered his father-in-law on the street, an argument broke out between the parties.

GUNS AND KNIVES WERE DRAWN

As the argument quickly escalated into a fight, Murat Güven fired at his father-in-law with a pistol he had. At that moment, the son of Muharrem Güven, who was present, injured Murat Güven with a knife.

LIFE THREATENING CONDITION

Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After initial intervention, the injured were taken to the hospital. It was learned that Muharrem Güven's condition is life-threatening.

AN EYEWITNESS DESCRIBED THE MOMENTS 

Gökhan Aktaş, who witnessed the incident, said, "Three people were fighting and shouting. They rushed at each other. One was stabbed in the hip, and one was shot in the abdomen."

Police teams detained the son of Muharrem Güven, and a comprehensive investigation into the incident has been initiated.
