Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe were referred to the Professional Football Discipline Board (PFDK) of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) due to violations that occurred during the second week matches of the Ziraat Turkey Cup groups.
GALATASARAY AND FENERBAHÇE REFERRED TO PFDK
According to a statement from the TFF, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe were referred to discipline due to ugly and inappropriate chants caused by the fans. The yellow-reds defeated Fethiyespor 2-1 away in the second week match of the Ziraat Turkey Cup, while Fenerbahçe also won 1-0 against Beyoğlu Yeni Çarşı away.
Fethiyespor was also referred to the PFDK due to the field incidents in their match against Galatasaray, not leaving the stairwells empty, illegally admitting spectators, and actions contrary to the regulations.
BURAK YILMAZ IS ANOTHER NAME REFERRED
Gaziantep FK's head coach Burak Yılmaz was sent to discipline due to unsportsmanlike conduct, insults, and threats. Burak Yılmaz came to the fore with his reaction to the match referee Burak Pakkan in the 15th minute of the match where his team hosted Kocaelispor. The young coach was very angry with the decision of referee Burak Pakkan, who showed a direct red card to Gaziantep FK's Tayyip Talha Sanuç after the VAR review in the 12th minute of the match, and he received a red card following his reaction.
Gençlerbirliği's head coach Metin Diyadin was also referred to the disciplinary board due to unsportsmanlike conduct. Gaziantep FK player Tayyip Talha Sanuç, Aliağa Football player Mustafa Saymak, and İstanbulspor's Fahri Kerem Ay were also sent to discipline due to their illegal actions.
