In Adana, teacher Burcu Güven's tiny house, worth 1 million 650 thousand lira, which was stolen while she was on holiday in Bali, was found by police teams in a workshop in Sarıçam. It was determined that the portable house had been left there for renovation and was returned to its owner, while efforts to apprehend the suspect or suspects involved in the incident are ongoing.
Burcu Güven, who works as a preschool teacher in Adana, learned that her 'tiny house' (portable home) worth 1,650,000 lira was stolen while she was on holiday in Bali, Indonesia. The house was found as a result of an investigation carried out by police teams.
Burcu Güven, 37, who works at a private kindergarten, was on holiday in Bali when she received a call from a friend on June 7 informing her that her portable home, located on an empty lot in the Yenimahalle neighborhood of Seyhan district, had been stolen. Upon hearing the distressing news, she cut her holiday short and returned to Adana, where she went to the police station to file a complaint against the suspects.
SHE SAID: "OUR EFFORTS AND DREAMS WERE STOLEN"
Burcu Güven, stating that they purchased the portable home with her family to both invest their savings and for hobby purposes, expressed her grievances and asked authorities and citizens for help in finding the thieves.
Güven said, "It was a huge investment for us. They stole and took away this structure, which is all our effort and dreams. We ask authorities to catch the thieves as soon as possible. If anyone has seen or knows about the house, please contact us or the police. We want to get our portable home back."
POLICE FOUND THE TINY HOUSE IN A WORKSHOP
Following Burcu Güven's complaint, police teams launched an investigation and found the tiny house, worth 1,650,000 lira, in a workshop located in the İncirlik neighborhood of Sarıçam district.
During the examination, it was determined that the portable home had been left at the said workshop for renovation purposes. The tiny house was taken from the workshop by police teams and, after necessary procedures, was handed over to its owner, Burcu Güven.
SUSPECTS ARE BEING SOUGHT
It was reported that police teams are continuing their efforts to identify and apprehend the suspect or suspects who stole the portable home.
