On the 13th night of its strikes against Iran, the US targeted military command centers, drone depots, and coastal observation posts. Iranian media reported explosions in several cities, including Hondab, where a nuclear facility is located, and that attacks near Ahvaz killed 4 people and injured 5. CENTCOM stated the Strait of Hormuz is open to commercial shipping and that over 50,000 US troops are deployed in the region.

The tension between the USA and Iran has reached a new level. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the completion of the 13th night of strikes against Iran. The statement indicated that command centers, drone depots, communication networks, coastal surveillance points, and naval elements were targeted in operations aimed at weakening Iran's military capacity.

OPERATION MESSAGE FOR THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ

CENTCOM reported that the main objective of the operations is to reduce threats to commercial vessels and civilian sailors passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The statement emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz remains open to commercial shipping traffic and that transits continue with the support of the US military. It also noted that more than 50,000 US troops are deployed in the region.

REGION WITH NUCLEAR FACILITY STRUCK

Iranian state media reported hearing intense explosion sounds in Hondab, Khorramabad, Taft, Shirkuh, Anarak, Borujerd, and Konarak. The Fars News Agency, close to the Revolutionary Guards, announced that US missiles targeted areas near Hondab in Markazi province.

It was notable that Hondab houses Iran's major heavy water production facility and nuclear complex. The same sources reported an explosion occurring south of Khorramabad, while the Tasnim News Agency reported simultaneous explosions in other cities.

AIR DEFENSE ACTIVATED IN EASTERN TEHRAN

Mehr, Iran's official news agency, announced that air defense systems were activated in eastern Tehran during the attacks. The Tasnim News Agency, citing sources in Khuzestan province, reported that 4 people were killed and 5 injured in US missile strikes near Ahvaz.

REGIONAL TENSION ESCALATES

According to international media, the US's ongoing strikes for 13 consecutive days are considered part of the goal to secure maritime trade in the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea. Due to the conflicts, oil prices have risen above $100 per barrel again, while United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that the crisis in the Middle East is 'reaching the point of spiraling out of control.'
