The special stamped passport, known to the public as the "green passport," is set to be granted to three more professional groups that have the right to travel to many countries around the world. According to the bill presented to the Parliament, dentists, veterinarians, and architects may be granted the right to a green passport, provided they are registered with their professional chambers... Here are the details...
A bill presented to the Parliament proposed that dentists registered with the Dental Chamber, veterinarians registered with the Veterinary Chamber, and architects registered with the Chamber of Architects be granted green passports with a minimum requirement of 15 years of seniority.
EMPHASIS ON "PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT"
The justification for the proposal included the following statements:
"It is emphasized that it is important for dentists, veterinarians, and architects to travel abroad for education, conferences, symposiums, congresses, and similar scientific events, to develop themselves, to participate in international scientific meetings, and to follow new research in the world for their professional development."
“DISCRIMINATION MUST BE ELIMINATED”
"The aim of this Bill is to eliminate the discrimination between dentists and veterinarians in the private sector who meet the same conditions as those working in the public sector, in accordance with the relevant provision of the Passport Law, and to meet the demands of professional chambers in this regard. The proposal aims to introduce a provision for granting special stamped passports to dentists, veterinarians, and architects who are registered with the relevant professional chambers and have at least 15 years of seniority."
The proposal presented to the Parliament by CHP Hatay Deputy Nermin Yıldırım Kara has been referred to the Commission.
