Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who plays for Galatasaray, has been selected for the best XI of the 35th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025).
THE BEST XI OF THE AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED
The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced the best XI of the 35th Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025). Tournament champion Senegal and finalist Morocco stood out with four players each in the best XI of the organization.
OSIMHEN, WHO SCORED 4 GOALS, WAS ALSO INCLUDED IN THE XI
Among the Moroccan players selected for the best XI were goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, who conceded 2 goals in 7 matches, along with Achraf Hakimi, Noussair Mazraoui, and Brahim Diaz, who finished the tournament as the top scorer with 5 goals. From Senegal, who won the second continental championship, defender Moussa Niakhate, midfielders Pape Gueye and Idrissa Gueye, along with forward Sadio Mane, who was named the best player of the tournament, were included in the starting XI.
Nigeria, which finished the tournament in third place, had defender Calvin Bassey, winger Ademola Lookman, and forward Victor Osimhen selected for the best XI. Galatasaray's striker Osimhen scored 4 goals in the organization where Nigeria finished in 3rd place.
