In the Tatvan district of Bitlis, a total of 502 grams of methamphetamine was extracted from the stomach and intestines of a foreign national suspect who was detained in a passenger bus stopped by the police. The detained suspect was arrested.
In Bitlis, within the scope of efforts conducted by the Anti-Narcotics Department and the Bitlis Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch Directorate to prevent drug trafficking, a search was carried out on a passenger bus stopped in the Tatvan district.
HALF KILO OF DRUGS REMOVED FROM STOMACH AND INTESTINES
During inspections, a foreign national who aroused suspicion was taken to the hospital. X-ray and tomography images taken there revealed foreign objects in the suspect's stomach and intestines. Through medical procedures, a total of 502 grams of methamphetamine were removed from the suspect's body in 62 pieces.
ARRESTED
The suspect, taken into custody, was arrested by the court to which he was referred on charges of 'manufacturing and trafficking of narcotic or psychotropic substances' after his processing at the police station.
