In the Ahbap Association investigation, the board decisions regarding the conversion of 44 million liras found in the association's bank account, first into 1 million dollars and then into physical gold, were taken under review. It was determined in the decisions that Haluk Levent was authorized for the physical receipt of the foreign currency and the purchase of the gold, and that it was decided to keep them in a rented safe deposit box. After the investigation, the box, opened with police escort, contained medicines and a book instead of gold.

Fatih Atik, the Ankara representative of TGRT News, shared information based on judicial sources with viewers during a live broadcast, revealing the details of a claim involving 1 million euros whose fate is unknown.
THEY DECIDED TO CONVERT TO FOREIGN CURRENCY
According to what Fatih Atik reported, the process began with a financial decision made by the AHBAP Association Board of Directors against exchange rate fluctuations. The association's management decided to purchase foreign currency to prevent the cash obtained from donations from losing value. Atik conveyed this situation on the live broadcast with these words:
"The AHBAP Association Board of Directors made a decision at that time... There is money in the safe, but the exchange rate is rising, so let's not incur losses, let's convert a portion to foreign currency and put it in the safe, put it in the bank safe, they made such a decision."
"THEY WROTE 'AID TO GAZA' IN THE DESCRIPTION"
Although the management's decision was to protect the money from exchange rate differences, what was written in the description section of the receipt while carrying out the transaction drew attention. Atik, expressing this major contradiction in official records, used the following statements:
"Then, money was sent from AHBAP management to the currency exchange office to purchase 1 million euros. Even though the reason was to put the money in the safe, they wrote 'Aid to Gaza' on the money sent for the currency purchase. It was sent as foreign currency purchased for aid to Gaza."
"ONLY MEDICINE CAME OUT OF THE SAFE"
Following these transactions recorded in the official records, the bank safe where the money was claimed to be kept under protection came under the radar of police teams. The teams, who scrutinized the board decision and the transfer to the currency exchange office, went to the bank to locate the 1 million euros. However, Fatih Atik summarized the scene the police encountered when they opened the safe with these words:
"They opened the safe. The 1 million euros had vanished into thin air. Only medicine came out of the safe."

Atik emphasized that the missing 1 million euros correspond to approximately 55 million Turkish Liras at today's exchange rate, underlining the gravity of the incident. Stating that he had just learned of the development from judicial sources, he addressed citizens who donate to the association with these words:
"It is very serious... 55 million. They are looking for it in the safe and cannot find it... It is an interesting situation. Those who make money donations should think again, that is, about where the money went. Those who donated money to AHBAP should think again."
