An interesting incident occurred in Izmir. A drunken man mistook his workplace for his home, broke a window, and fell asleep.

BROKE THE WINDOW WITH KICKS AND ENTERED

The interesting incident, which could even be the subject of a movie, took place in the Karabağlar district. Irfan Kayın, who had too much to drink at an entertainment venue, left the place to go home in the early morning. Thinking he had arrived home, Kayın stopped in front of a mattress store and struggled with the door for minutes with his key. According to claims, Kayın, who could not even remember what he was doing, broke the window with kicks and entered.

When he entered the store, the man found a sheet and a pillow, covered himself, and curled up on one of the beds. When the employee arrived at the store in the morning and saw the broken window, he initially thought a thief had entered. A young girl looking in with her neighbors was shocked to see someone lying in the bed. The police, who came to the workplace after the report and entered, had difficulty waking up the man who had fallen asleep and was almost unconscious.

The business owner, Eren Çağlar Niron, did not file a complaint against Irfan Kayın after learning that the incident was not a theft. Eren Çağlar Niron said, "I learned about the incident around 9:30 in the morning. They called and said, 'Someone has entered the shop, the window is broken.' At first, we didn’t know there was someone inside. We learned all of that later. When we watched the video, we saw that the guy really entered to sleep on our beds and didn’t touch anything, so we decided not to file a complaint. He entered in the early morning, and in the videos, he is seen lying on the bed. He didn’t get up until the police arrived; the police woke him up. We even gifted him the bed he slept on. When the police first arrived and asked, 'What are you doing here?' he replied, 'What are you doing here?' He probably thought he was in his own house," he said.

Irfan Kayın, who expressed that he was very embarrassed, said he remembered nothing. Kayın recounted the incident as follows: "I came here in the early morning; however, I don’t remember anything. I thought I had come to my own house. In fact, I was trying to open the door, taking out my key. Since I couldn’t open the door, I kicked it. I took a sheet and a pillow; I must have fallen asleep because the bed was comfortable. In the morning, I found the police at my head. They asked me, 'What are you doing here?' I replied, 'What are you doing?' I thought I was in my own house. The guy turned out to be very understanding. He didn’t file a complaint against me. He even gifted me the bed I slept on. Later, he will send it to my home."
