A new development has occurred in the investigation regarding Zekiye Aydın, who went missing in Çanakkale in 2006. A person named Sabri Önal stated in a television program that he knows the location of Zekiye Aydın's body. Sabri Önal was detained by the gendarmerie and was referred to the courthouse.
Zekiye Aydın, who runs a hotel business in the Küçükkuyu district of Ayvacık, Çanakkale, went missing in 2006.
HE CONFESSED ON A TELEVISION PROGRAM
On January 13, Sabri Önal, who participated in a television program, claimed that he knew the location of Zekiye Aydın's body, who has been missing for 19 years. Following this, Önal was detained by the Çanakkale Provincial Gendarmerie Command's Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT).

Yesterday, a reconnaissance was conducted in Edirne's Keşan district related to the incident. Sabri Önal showed the teams the area where the body was located. While the search for the body was ongoing in the area, Önal was brought to the Ayvacık District Gendarmerie Command for his statement. After the procedures, Önal was sent to the courthouse in the morning.
