31-year-old Chloe Mowday, a mother of three living in Australia, experienced a nightmare when she went under the knife for nose and eyelid surgery in Da Nang, Vietnam, during her vacation. The young woman, whose organs have failed, is fighting for her life in intensive care.
31-year-old Chloe Mowday, a mother of three from Perth, Western Australia, had made an appointment for minor cosmetic surgeries in Da Nang, Vietnam, while planning a world tour vacation with her family in Southeast Asia.
She was planning to undergo traditionally safe procedures, including rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery, before heading to Hong Kong and Singapore.
HER ORGANS SUDDENLY FAILED
However, instead of enjoying her vacation after the simple nose and eyelid surgeries, Chloe was taken to intensive care when her organs began to fail.
"SHE STARTED TO FEEL STRANGE"
Chloe's sister recounted the events, saying, "She started to feel strange and felt some pain in other areas besides the surgical site. She took the medications prescribed by the doctors and lay down to rest. A few hours later, when Josh came to check on her, she wasn't responding well; then she stopped breathing, and I think her organs started to fail rapidly within those few hours."
A FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN WAS ORGANIZED
The family of the mother of three organized a fundraising campaign to bring her back to Australia for treatment. So far, the family has managed to raise 23,000 Australian Dollars (650,000 TL).
