In the Seydikemer district of Muğla, 65-year-old Yusuf Özde lost his balance while fishing in the Eşen River, fell into the water, and drowned. Health teams who arrived at the scene determined that Özde had passed away. The gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the incident.
Yusuf Özde (65), who lost his balance while fishing in the Eşen River in the Seydikemer district of Muğla, drowned. The incident occurred around 19:30 at the Eşen River bank in the Sarısüleymanlar area of Atlıdere neighborhood. According to allegations, Özde wanted to retrieve his fishing line that got stuck in the water while he was fishing.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED REGARDING THE INCIDENT
At that moment, Özde lost his balance and was swept away by the current. He was pulled out of the water with the help of nearby citizens. In the examination conducted by the medical team dispatched to the scene upon notification, it was determined that Özde had lost his life. Özde's body was taken to the morgue of the Muğla Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy after the investigation at the scene.
The gendarmerie has initiated an investigation regarding the incident.
