A woman who allegedly defrauded many people by introducing herself as a member of MIT, a diplomat, and a representative of NATO and the UN in Ankara was captured and arrested by security teams. It is claimed that her main goal was to infiltrate the security bureaucracy, and that she attempted to establish close relationships with some public officials, threatening those who did not accept her offers by saying they would be "transferred" due to her high-level connections, under the pretext of being "in a romantic relationship."

According to the information obtained, it was determined that Şerife Y. started her fraudulent activities by deceiving people around her using different titles such as fruit seller, gardener, restaurant operator, and taxi driver. It was learned that over time, Şerife Y. expanded her circle to also target earthquake victims and pilgrim candidates.
WHEN CREDITORS ASKED FOR THEIR MONEY, SHE HAD NO TITLE LEFT UNUSED
It was stated that Şerife Y., who introduced herself as a "war veteran, responsible for critical missions, a chaste and honest woman," tried to gain trust with these statements. When people who wanted their money back asked her, she reportedly bought time by saying she was a U.S. citizen, had just returned from abroad, and that transferring the money from accounts abroad would take time.
After the complaints increased, it was determined that Şerife Y. prepared fake bank receipts, and when this method also failed, she allegedly threatened to have her creditors detained by claiming to be a high-ranking public official.
Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that Şerife Y. introduced herself with different titles such as a member of MIT, a diplomat, and a representative of NATO and the United Nations, and by gaining trust in this way, she targeted mostly high-ranking politicians and public and private sector executives. It was claimed that the suspect's main goal was to infiltrate the security bureaucracy. It was also alleged that Şerife Y. tried to contact some names from academic circles and targeted well-known economists in the public eye.
SHE USED ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
It was determined that the suspect also benefited from technology in her fraudulent activities. The suspect, who prepared fake documents and visuals using artificial intelligence, reportedly tried to create the impression of having a wide and effective network.
CONTACT UNDER THE PRETEXT OF "BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP"
On the other hand, it was alleged that Şerife Y. tried to establish closeness with some public officials, and under the pretext of "being in a relationship," she threatened those who did not accept her proposal by saying they had high-level acquaintances and that she would "change their duty station." After her procedures at the police station, Şerife Y. was referred to the courthouse, where she was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
