The boss of a company operating in China made an incredible gesture to his employees. At a year-end event attended by approximately 7,000 people, the boss placed a total of 26 million dollars in cash in the middle of the venue and told the employees, "Take as much as you can carry." This unconventional bonus method resulted in interesting visuals.
The owner of Henan Kuangshan Crane, which operates in the crane manufacturing and transportation sector in China, Cui Peijun, drew the attention of the world public with an extraordinary gesture towards his employees.
HE PILED UP 26 MILLION DOLLARS: TAKE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN CARRY
According to the 12 Animal Lunar Calendar, on February 17, the "Year of the Snake" was left behind and the "Year of the Horse" began, while the company held its year-end event on February 13. In the organization attended by approximately 7,000 employees, an unusual bonus method was preferred.
A total of 26 million dollars in cash was placed in the middle of the event area. The boss called out to the employees, "Take as much as you can carry." According to information in the media, some employees left the area with thousands of dollars; it was reported that one person carried approximately 13,000 dollars in cash.
HE EXPLAINED THE REASON LIKE THIS: IT REMAINS JUST NUMBERS
According to a report in the Daily Mail, Peijun stated that in previous years they had given appliances and similar gifts to the staff, and this year they preferred to distribute cash directly. Responding to criticisms about why the bonuses were not deposited into bank accounts, the businessman said, "Some people ask why we don't deposit the money directly into accounts. But then it just remains as numbers."
NOT HIS FIRST GESTURE
Peijun's generosity towards his employees does not stop here. The company distributed nearly 230,000 dollars in bonuses to approximately 2,000 female employees on International Women's Day last March. The businessman previously explained the rationale behind such payments with the following words: "Not because I love to distribute money; young people are struggling with car loans and housing debts. I believe that any support we can offer will be beneficial."
