In Izmir, a man went to the police station with the lifeless body of a woman, who was later identified as his girlfriend. The man stated that his girlfriend had committed suicide and that he had been trying to prevent it. He was taken to the police for questioning by the Homicide Bureau.

It took place in front of the Gültepe Police Station in the Konak district of İzmir in the morning hours. E.B. (34), who was learned to be a pirate taxi driver, went to the police station and told the police that there was the body of his girlfriend in his car. Police teams, upon checking the car, found the lifeless body of Eda Kuş (29), a mother of one, shot in the back of her left ear. While E.B. was taken into custody by the police, the Crime Scene Investigation Department teams conducted examinations in the car. While evidence in the car was being collected, the gun used in the incident was also seized by the police.

It was learned that E.B., who had been in a relationship with the deceased Eda Kuş for 2 years and had been separated for the last month, stated in his first statement to the police that Kuş had committed suicide. In E.B.'s statement, it was also claimed that he said they were in a relationship with Eda, that they had a dispute in the car because he was jealous of her with other women, that she pulled out a gun and committed suicide, and that he tried to stop her but was unsuccessful.

After the examination conducted by the prosecutor at the scene, Eda Kuş's lifeless body was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. Relatives of Eda Kuş, who were waiting at the Forensic Medicine, claimed that the incident was a murder. They alleged that E.B. had been separated from Eda for a month, had tried to reconcile but was rejected, and therefore, she became a victim of murder.
