The incident occurred around 08:30 in the Şehit Osman Tatar Street of the Hürriyet neighborhood in the district. While driving, car dealer E.I. saw the car driven by his cousin Hakan Işık, with whom he had a feud over a debt issue. E.I. got out of his car and fired multiple times at his cousin with the gun he pulled from his waist, then fled the scene on foot.

Upon receiving reports from the surrounding people, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Hakan Işık, who was taken to the hospital by ambulance, could not be saved despite the interventions. His lifeless body was sent to the morgue for autopsy.
