Hürü Toklu, a mother of five, was heading to the elevator to return home from her neighbor's house in Osmaniye when she fell into the elevator shaft from the third floor, not realizing that the cabin was stuck on the fourth floor. The elderly woman was rescued from where she fell with the help of the fire department and was taken to the hospital, but despite all interventions, she could not be saved.
A heartbreaking incident occurred in a six-story apartment located on 9 No'lu Sokak in the Karataş neighborhood of Osmaniye's Toprakkale district.
FELL INTO THE ELEVATOR SHAFT
According to the allegations; Hürü Toklu (66), a married woman and mother of five, headed to the elevator to return home after visiting a neighbor. Toklu, who opened the elevator door, did not realize that the cabin was stuck on the fourth floor and stepped in. The elderly woman fell into the elevator shaft from the third floor.
DIED IN THE HOSPITAL
Upon hearing the noise, the residents of the apartment reported the incident, and fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Toklu, who was rescued from where she fell by the fire brigade, could not be saved at the Toprakkale State Hospital to which she was taken by ambulance.
After the incident, the elevator in the apartment was sealed by the authorities.
