A citizen in the Bandırma district of Balıkesir was shocked after taking a bite of a cookie purchased from a bakery, only to find a cigarette butt inside the cookie.
After a citizen claimed that a cigarette butt came out of the product while eating a chocolate cookie they purchased, the relevant teams took action. Inspections were carried out at the reported establishment in line with the complaint.
EXPIRED PRODUCTS
Following the report and complaint, the teams from the Bandırma District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, who went to the field, found that the expiration date had passed for milk and cheese products during their official inspection at the establishment.
A FINE OF 35 THOUSAND TL WAS IMPOSED
After the findings, expired products were confiscated, and administrative action was taken against the establishment. Additionally, irregularities were detected in the manufacturing facility. In this context, an administrative fine of approximately 35 thousand TL was imposed on the establishment.
THEY HAVE ALSO OCCUPIED THE SIDEWALK
The teams from the Bandırma Municipality Zoning Directorate, which conducted inspections at the same establishment, imposed a separate fine of 5 thousand 500 TL on the establishment for sidewalk occupation and violations of labeling regulations.
