THE BILL CONSISTS OF 13 ARTICLES

TBMM AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler stated, "We submitted our bill to the Speaker of the Parliament regarding changes to some laws aimed at supporting social and economic policies consisting of a total of 13 articles, including the salary we will provide to our lowest retirees. As of 2026, SSK and BAĞ-KUR pensions will be increased by 12.19%, and civil servant pensions will be increased by 18.60%, including an inflation difference of 6.85%. The base monthly coefficient will also increase. The currently paid lowest pension of 16,881 lira will be increased by 18.48% to 20,000 lira," he said.

4.9 MILLION RETIREES WILL BE AFFECTED

In his statement, Güler said, "The lowest pension currently applied at 16,881 lira corresponded to 4 million 11 thousand people. When it increases to 20,000 lira, the number of retirees benefiting from this amount will rise to 4.9 million. We will allocate 69.5 billion lira from the budget. We have tried to develop this opportunity without causing any negativity in our fight against inflation, while maintaining budget discipline," he expressed.
