A man staying in a bachelor apartment in Büyükçekmece was shot in the heart by an individual who came to the apartment door and was killed. The man, who made it to the living room covered in blood, told his friends in the house, "I’ve been shot," before collapsing to the floor. Meanwhile, one of the people in the apartment ran away from the house. Five people have been detained in connection with the incident.
A brutality occurred on Atatürk Street in the Büyükçekmece district of Istanbul. According to allegations, Koray Kazancıoğlu (31), who was living on the upper floor of a four-story building with his friends, started to argue with a person who came to the apartment door for an unknown reason. During the argument, the suspect shot Kazancıoğlu in the heart with a gun.
"I'VE BEEN SHOT" AND COLLAPSED
Bleeding, Kazancıoğlu made it to the living room and told his friends in the house, "I've been shot," before collapsing to the ground. At that moment, allegedly, a person in the apartment ran away from the house. Citizens in the vicinity, hearing the gunshots, reported to emergency services at 112. Following the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The police took security measures in the area and initiated an investigation into the incident.
DIED AT THE SCENE
Health teams determined that Kazancıoğlu, who was shot in the heart, died at the scene. After the police investigation, Kazancıoğlu's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution's morgue for autopsy. After the autopsy procedures were completed, Kazancıoğlu's body was handed over to his family. After the funeral prayer held at Kuba Mosque, Koray Kazancıoğlu was buried at Silivri Alipaşa Cemetery.
5 PEOPLE IN CUSTODY
A.K., Ö.Ç., E.D., M.D., and E.Ç. were taken into custody by the police in connection with the murder. The police's ongoing investigations into the incident continue. The reason for Kazancıoğlu's murder will be revealed after the interrogations.
