A citizen who brought their vehicle for inspection protested the fee of 2600 lira. Addressing the authorities, the citizen said, "State officials, for God's sake, save this people from this trouble. What is 2600 lira, for God's sake? That's our monthly grocery expense."
While TÜVTÜRK's vehicle inspection fee has been a topic of discussion for years, citizens have started to react strongly to the high amounts. The latest example of this was highlighted by a video shared on social media.
PAID 2600 LIRA FOR VEHICLE INSPECTION
A citizen who brought their vehicle for inspection protested the fee charged. Stating that the 2600 lira fee is equivalent to a month's grocery expenses, the citizen requested that authorities find a solution to the problem.
"FOR GOD'S SAKE, FREE THIS PEOPLE FROM THIS TROUBLE"
The citizen said: "They charge 2600 lira for the inspection fee. It keeps increasing every year. They take a 115 lira commission at the state-run inspection station. Government officials, for God's sake, free this people from this trouble. What is 2600 lira, for God's sake? It's our monthly grocery expense. Enough already."
