Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that "Gürz-46" operations against the PKK/KCK were conducted in 51 provinces. During the operations, 282 suspected members of the terrorist organization were captured, and searches at various addresses resulted in the seizure of 2 AK-47 rifles, 8 unlicensed shotguns, 5 unlicensed handguns, 3 blank-firing pistols, and a large number of digital materials.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on his official social media account that "Gürz-46" operations were carried out against PKK/KCK in 51 provinces. In his post, Minister Yerlikaya shared the details of the operation, stating, "We are determined to root out and eliminate all forms of terrorism from this land to achieve our goal of a 'Terror-free Turkey' and to ensure the peace, unity, and solidarity of our nation."

282 SUSPECTED TERROR ORGANIZATION MEMBERS CAPTURED

Yerlikaya reported that 282 suspected members of terrorist organizations were captured during the operations, stating, "In coordination with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, the General Directorate of Security's Counter-Terrorism Department, and the Intelligence Department; as a result of the efforts carried out by the Provincial Security Directorates' Counter-Terrorism Branches; the suspects captured in operations conducted in Adıyaman, Adana, Afyonkarahisar, Ağrı, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Ardahan, Bayburt, Balıkesir, Bingöl, Bitlis, Bursa, Bolu, Çanakkale, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Elazığ, Erzincan, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Gümüşhane, Hakkari, Hatay, Iğdır, Istanbul, Izmir, Kars, Karaman, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Kütahya, Malatya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Muğla, Muş, Nevşehir, Niğde, Ordu, Osmaniye, Sakarya, Şanlıurfa, Şırnak, Tekirdağ, Yozgat, and Van were identified as follows;

It was determined that they were involved in activities within the political, financial, and prison structures of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization, provided financial support to the terrorist organization, facilitated recruitment for the organization through collaborative activities, supplied banned publications in support of the organization, participated in violent street incidents during and after unlawful actions, conducted propaganda for the terrorist organization through their social media accounts, and had confirmed prison sentences and arrest warrants against them," he stated.

A LARGE AMOUNT OF AMMUNITION SEIZED

As a result of the operations, 2 AK-47 rifles, 8 unlicensed shotguns, 5 unlicensed handguns, 3 blank-firing pistols, and a large number of digital materials were seized.
