A dispute between a teacher couple in Antalya ended in a double murder. While the teacher, who killed his wife and father-in-law with a pump-action shotgun, was taken into custody, it was learned that the 3 children present in the house during the incident were taken under state protection. Colleagues and neighbors watched the removal of the bodies from the house in tears.

A family tragedy occurred around 10:00 AM in a building located on 212th Street in the Memurevleri neighborhood of Antalya's Muratpaşa district. A dispute broke out between geography teacher Orhan B. (43) and his Arabic teacher wife Aslıhan B. (40), reportedly because Aslıhan B. requested a reassignment. Aslıhan B.'s father, Cafer Tayyar Öztürk (74), who was visiting from Bursa, also became involved in the argument.

It was learned that during the argument, Aslıhan B. told her children, aged 9, 5, and 2.5, to go to their rooms. At that moment, Orhan B. fired three shots from a shotgun in the house toward his father-in-law, Cafer Tayyar Öztürk, in the living room. Seeing her husband with the shotgun, Aslıhan B. fled towards the balcony, while Orhan B. followed and fired two shots at his wife. Upon hearing the gunshots, neighbors alerted authorities, and police and medical teams were dispatched to the address. Orhan B., who reportedly locked the door after the incident, opened it following persuasion efforts by police. Entering the apartment, teams found Aslıhan B. and her father Cafer Tayyar Öztürk motionless on the floor. Medical checks confirmed that Aslıhan B. died on the balcony and Cafer Tayyar Öztürk in the living room.

"WE FOUND OUT FROM THE GUNSHOTS"

I raised their daughters; I took care of them from 3.5 months old until age 2. We've been neighbors for about 10 years. He shot his father-in-law and wife. There were issues within the family, but I don't know to what extent."
