GAVE BIRTH ALONE
The incident occurred in the Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood of the İlkadım district. According to the allegations, H.C. (41), a mother of three who had previously married and divorced, gave birth alone at home while concealing her pregnancy. After experiencing health issues post-birth, the woman applied to Samsun Women's and Children's Hospital on October 14. Upon examination, it was determined that H.C. had given birth, and the absence of her baby was reported to the police.
THREW IT IN THE TRASH
Teams from the Homicide Bureau conducted extensive searches in trash containers and at the waste station based on the woman's statement, but they could not find the baby. After being discharged from the hospital, H.C. was taken into custody by the police. In her initial statement, the woman explained that she gave birth to her baby at home and, upon realizing the baby had died, placed it in a bag and threw it in the trash. However, during her testimony at the prosecutor's office, she stated that the baby was born alive. H.C. was brought before the magistrate on October 20 and was arrested and sent to Samsun Type T Closed Prison.
