The U.S. Department of Justice released images of the prison cell where billionaire Jeffrey Epstein was found dead while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation of minors.
In the United States, over 3 million new documents, 2,000 videos, and approximately 180,000 images related to billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while awaiting trial for the sexual abuse of underage girls, were released to the public by the U.S. Department of Justice the day before yesterday. The documents include email correspondence, photographs, and calendar records regarding contacts between U.S. President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Andrew Windsor, the brother of King Charles III of the United Kingdom, and Epstein.

Jeffrey Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York on August 10, 2019, and was taken to the hospital, but it was announced that he died at 6:39; the medical examiner recorded the cause of death as suicide by hanging. Violations of prison procedures on the night of his death, malfunctioning cameras, and allegations of record tampering by guards raised serious doubts in the public, and the incident was investigated by the FBI and the Department of Justice. With Epstein's death, all charges against him were dropped, and ongoing investigations turned to those around him, primarily Ghislaine Maxwell (his girlfriend).
