In Kocaeli, footage has emerged showing the employees of a döner restaurant adding raw meat on top of cooked döner, where 650 people were poisoned.
Scandalous images have emerged from the döner shop that caused the poisoning of 650 people in Kocaeli. In videos circulating on social media, moments are clearly seen where the business employees add raw meat on top of cooked döner.
EXPERTS WARN
Food safety experts state that the mixing of raw and cooked meat can lead to serious health issues and may cause mass poisoning. Following the footage, authorities announced that the investigation into the incident has been deepened and inspections will be increased.
BUSINESS OWNERS ARRESTED
During inspections conducted by officials from the Kocaeli Food Control Laboratory Directorate, it was determined that the test results of the chicken döner sample were negative and that the sample did not comply with the Turkish Food Codex Microbiological Criteria Regulation. Due to the analysis not being in accordance with the Turkish Food Codex Microbiological Criteria Regulation, a criminal complaint was filed against the business by the Körfez District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. It was learned that the individuals identified as E.T. and K.Y., who are the operators of the döner shop, have been arrested.
