A 6.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in Papua New Guinea at 23:05. According to a statement from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the 6.9 magnitude earthquake was reported to be 194 kilometers southeast off the coast of Kimbe, a city in the West New Britain province.
TSUNAMI WARNING ISSUED
A tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers. According to initial reports, there were no casualties or property damage reported.
