SHARED THE BACKSTAGE INFORMATION HE OBTAINED
On the other hand, Sinan Burhan, the General Director of the Millet News Agency, shared the latest backstage information he obtained on his social media account.
In a post titled "What will happen to the members of the PKK Organization?" Burhan used the following statements: "An arrangement will be made regarding those who are members of the organization but have not been involved in any crime according to Article 221, Paragraph 2 of the Turkish Penal Code. If the organization disbands, the 'membership in the organization' crime of these individuals will be considered dropped. Therefore, individuals in this group will not receive any punishment."
Burhan also wrote: "There are different opinions regarding members of the organization involved in armed actions. The first opinion: A reduction in punishment and then supervised release will be applied to members of the organization who have been involved in crimes. The second opinion: Trials and executions will be halted without a reduction in punishment. If an organization member does not engage in any crime within a certain period, their freedom will continue. However, if they become involved in a crime, their punishment will be doubled. This is not an amnesty but a reduction in punishment. In this context, regulations regarding the execution of sentences for crimes other than terrorism may also be included."
