In Galatasaray's extraordinary general assembly, authorization was requested from members on 11 different issues. President Dursun Özbek called the Aslantepe Valley Project "the project I am most excited about" while stating that the NBA Europe project would also be an important source of income for the club.
The extraordinary general assembly meeting of Galatasaray Club was held at the Anadolu Auditorium of Lütfi Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Palace. At the meeting, the board of directors under the presidency of Dursun Özbek requested authorization from members on 11 different matters concerning the club's future.
11 CRITICAL ITEMS VOTED
At the general assembly, projects regarding the Leo Residence in Mecidiyeköy, the construction of the academy and women's football camp building at Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay Facilities, the Aslantepe Valley Project, the New Florya Metin Oktay Sports Facility, the Hasnun Galip Building, and the lands in Riva and Büyükçekmece were submitted for members' approval.
Additionally, the establishment of Basketball Inc. and the public offering of Galatasaray Retail and Merchandising Inc. were also on the agenda.
"WE ARE LIVING A HISTORIC PERIOD"
In his speech, Dursun Özbek stated that the club is undergoing a significant transformation not only in sports but also institutionally, and said that lasting success is possible with strong facilities and a solid financial structure. Özbek indicated that the total investment amount of the projects is approximately 250 million dollars.

Özbek, emphasizing the Aslantepe Valley Project, said, "The Aslantepe Valley is the project I see as the future of Galatasaray and the one I am most excited about in this period. With this project, we will bring together basketball, volleyball, and amateur branches under one roof."
NBA EUROPE TARGET
Özbek stated that the authority requested for Basketball Inc. is critical for becoming a shareholder in the NBA Europe project and obtaining a permanent license. The President of Galatasaray, saying they have been in contact with NBA officials for a long time, expressed that this project will provide significant income to the club.
