The critical NATO Summit held in Ankara hosts a first in the alliance's history. According to the report by Haberler.com Ankara Representative Şerife Güzel, who is covering the summit, the topic of defense industry, which has never been included in previous summits, will be discussed for the first time in an official special forum.
The world's eyes are turned to the historic NATO Summit to be held in the capital Ankara on July 7-8. This critical summit, where global security policies and the alliance's priorities will be reshaped, will also be a turning point as the defense industry is included on the official agenda for the first time in NATO history.
The Defense Industry Forum, to be held with the participation of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, and Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, will be a first among NATO summits. The defense industry will be discussed in a session within the official program for the first time.
NATO ALLIES WILL GET TO KNOW TURKISH DEFENSE INDUSTRY
As part of the summit, advanced products will be showcased at the NATO Defense Industry Forum to be held tomorrow. Meanwhile, measures to make this cooperation much more effective will be discussed. Both NATO allies and participants will have the opportunity to recognize Turkey's progress in the field of defense industry.
At the forum, the steps taken in the context of decisions to increase defense investments and the role of deterrence within the alliance will also be evaluated. The strategy to be followed in the face of threats, risks, and challenges in this field will also be discussed.
THEY WILL SEE PRODUCTS ON SITE WITH A VISIT TO TAI
Participants of the Defense Industry Forum will have the opportunity to see the products developed by Turkey in this field on site through a visit program organized by the Presidency of Defense Industries to TAI.
