It has been reported that some artifacts, including a historic gold helmet and three royal bracelets brought from Romania to the Drents Museum in Assen, Netherlands, for exhibition, have been stolen.

The Dutch police announced that objects were stolen during a robbery at the Drents Museum in the city of Assen, including the Cotofeneşti Gold Helmet, one of Romania's most valuable historical artifacts, and three royal bracelets.

In the statement, it was noted that the museum's door was opened at 03:45 using explosives and that the robbery was carried out by multiple individuals. The police stated that they are investigating a vehicle found burned near the museum, which may be connected to the robbery, and a large-scale investigation has been launched to capture the perpetrators.

In a written statement from the Drents Museum, it was confirmed that the Cotofeneşti Gold Helmet, which dates back to 450 BC and was borrowed from the National Museum of Romanian History, along with three Dacian royal bracelets, was stolen. The statement included remarks from Museum Director Harry Tupan, who said, "This is a dark day for both the Drents Museum in Assen and the National Museum of Romanian History in Bucharest. We are deeply shaken by the events that occurred last night. We feel great embarrassment towards our Romanian colleagues." It was also reported that the museum has been closed to visitors for the weekend.
