The billion-dollar asset manager ARK Invest has announced new predictions suggesting that Bitcoin could reach a value between $500,000 and $2.4 million by 2030. The company stated that the increasing interest from institutional investors, the adoption of Bitcoin as digital gold, and its role as a safe haven in emerging markets will be the main driving forces behind this growth.
The report published by ARK Invest research analyst David Puell indicates that the company has revised its forecasts upward, which were previously announced in February. The new forecasts model Bitcoin's total addressable market (TAM), penetration rate, and supply schedule, while also detailing the cryptocurrency's role in financial markets.
ARK Invest: Bitcoin Could Reach a Market Value of $49.2 Trillion by 2030
In the updated forecasts, ARK Invest raised the "bear" and "base" scenarios for Bitcoin from $300,000 to $500,000 and from $710,000 to $1.2 million, respectively. In the "bull" scenario, the target has been updated from $1.5 million to $2.4 million.
The most optimistic scenario, with a Bitcoin price of $2.4 million, represents a figure that would elevate the total market value of the cryptocurrency to $49.2 trillion. This valuation indicates an economic volume larger than the combined gross domestic products of the United States and China.
Puell emphasized that institutional investments contribute the most to the bull scenario. The analyst predicts that Bitcoin could achieve a penetration rate of 6.5% in a $200 trillion financial market (excluding gold) in the best-case scenario, and he foresees that its acceptance as digital gold will significantly contribute to this high estimate.
Bitcoin becoming a "safe haven" in emerging markets stands out as the third major factor in ARK's $2.4 million bull scenario prediction. Puell points out that this use case has the greatest potential for capital accumulation, highlighting Bitcoin's ability to protect wealth from inflation and depreciation in developing countries.
If ARK's predictions come true, it seems possible for Bitcoin to surpass gold, the world's largest asset, which currently has a market value of $22.5 trillion. However, even the most conservative estimates require Bitcoin to achieve annual compound growth rates of 32% to 53% by 2030.
The report also notes that Bitcoin has recovered from a low of $75,160 in 2025 to rise to the $94,000 range, and that the Trump administration has established a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
