American actor George Clooney, who has expressed concerns about raising his children within Hollywood culture for some time, has obtained French citizenship along with his wife and two children.
According to a report by CNN based on French sources, the famous actor and director Clooney, his lawyer wife Amal Clooney, and their twin children Alexander and Ella have become French citizens. George Clooney, who also stated that he is a U.S. citizen, mentioned in a statement to the New York Times in February that despite having homes in England near their family and in Kentucky with his Lebanese-born British citizen wife, their primary residence is a farm in France.

Clooney, who has long expressed concerns about his family's privacy, called for his children's faces not to be shown in the media in an open letter he wrote in 2021. In an interview with Esquire magazine in October, Clooney expressed his worries about raising his children in Los Angeles within Hollywood culture, stating that fame is not as significant in France. He emphasized that he does not want his children to feel anxious about being followed by paparazzi and expressed that he does not want them to be compared to other famous children.
