Hayal Alkış, the chief warden working at the Correctional Institution in Nazilli district of Aydın, was found dead at home. An examination revealed signs of assault, and S.V., who also works at the same institution, was taken into custody in connection with the incident.
Hayal Alkış, the chief warden working at the Penitentiary Institution in Aydın's Nazilli district, was found dead at her home.
The incident occurred around 07:00 in the morning at the top floor of a three-story apartment building on 12/2 Street in Zafer Neighborhood. Relatives who had not heard from Hayal Alkış, who was reported to have separated from her husband some time ago, notified the police. Upon the report, police and medical teams were dispatched to the address.
TEAMS FOUND HER UNRESPONSIVE AT HOME
Teams that entered the house by opening the door found Alkış unresponsive. Medical teams determined that the chief warden had passed away during their examination. In the crime scene investigation, signs of assault were found on Alkış's body.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
Nazilli Chief Public Prosecutor Murat Dilsiz and District Police Chief Erdal Esen, who arrived at the scene, received information from the teams. Alkış's body was sent to Aydın Adnan Menderes University Forensic Medicine Institution to determine the exact cause of death.
COLLEAGUE IN CUSTODY
Following the incident, police teams initiated an investigation and detained S.V., a married father of three who also worked at the same penitentiary institution. The suspect was taken to the police station for questioning after a health check. The investigation regarding the incident is ongoing.
