The horrifying moments of the child, who repeatedly hit the little girl's head against a desk and continued his attack even though she lost consciousness, were captured by security cameras. While the seriously injured girl was taken to the hospital, an investigation was launched into the incident.
In a government school in India's Haryana state, an 8-year-old boy brutally attacked a 6-year-old girl in an empty classroom. The boy's attack, in which he repeatedly banged the little girl's head against a desk, kicked her after she fell to the ground, and struck her with hard objects, was captured on security cameras. It was announced that the seriously injured girl was taken under treatment and had survived the life-threatening danger.
TOOK HER TO AN EMPTY CLASSROOM AND ATTACKED HER
The incident occurred on October 28 at Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School in the city of Panchkula in India's Haryana state.
According to the allegation, the 8-year-old child, a third-grade student, took the 6-year-old girl student to an empty classroom on the upper floor of the school, telling her that her father was waiting for her.
Here, the boy who attacked the little girl first grabbed her by the hair and repeatedly banged her head against the desk. Then he continued kicking the girl student who had fallen to the ground and striking her with hard objects such as stones, bricks, and flowerpots.
HE CONTINUED THE ATTACK EVEN THOUGH SHE LOST CONSCIOUSNESS
In footage captured by the school's security cameras, the 8-year-old boy was seen continuing the attack, while the little girl, as a result of the blows she received, lost consciousness and remained motionless.
The moments when the girl, with blood coming from her head, lay motionless on the ground, yet the attacking boy continued to kick her, were also captured on camera.
After the attack, which lasted about one and a half minutes, the boy left the classroom.
THE FAMILY WHO CAME TO LOOK FOR THEIR DAUGHTER ENCOUNTERED A TERRIBLE SCENE
The family, realizing that the little girl was not there at the time she was to be picked up from school, began searching for the child.
According to the family's account, the 8-year-old boy who carried out the attack pointed to the classroom where the girl was. Entering the classroom, the family found their little daughter covered in blood and unconscious.
The child, who was taken to the hospital, was referred to PGIMER Hospital in the city of Chandigarh after initial intervention because her injuries were severe.
It was reported that the little girl, whose condition was described as critical in initial statements, later survived the life-threatening danger.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION
After the incident, the school's security measures and the teachers' negligence became a matter of debate. Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda ordered the establishment of a special commission to investigate the incident.
Police launched an investigation into the school administration on grounds of negligence, while two teachers were suspended. Finally, it was reported that the school principal was also suspended.
It was announced that the 8-year-old boy who carried out the attack was taken for psychological evaluation by experts.
Officials stated that the cause of the attack and the security vulnerability at the school were being investigated.
