THE ROPE SNAPPED FOR AN UNKNOWN REASON
The accident occurred in the afternoon on Ali Ertaş Street in İpek Neighborhood in Kızıltepe district center. The rope of an elevator undergoing maintenance in an 8-story business center snapped for a reason not yet determined. Workers Rıdvan G. (25) and Mazlum A. (30), who were inside the cabin for maintenance and repair, fell with the cabin and were injured.
ONE OF THE WORKERS IS IN LIFE-THREATENING CONDITION
Health, fire brigade, and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The injured workers were taken to Kızıltepe State Hospital after first aid by health teams at the scene. It was stated that Rıdvan G., one of the injured workers receiving treatment, is in life-threatening condition.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
