The 32-year-old footballer, stating that the expressions used by a person named Hüsnü G. harmed his personal rights, applied to the court through his lawyer and requested 65,000 Turkish liras in non-pecuniary damages.

MERT HAKAN YANDAŞ FILED A LAWSUIT ALLEGING INSULT
Fenerbahçe's experienced midfielder Mert Hakan Yandaş drew attention with a development off the field. The 32-year-old footballer resorted to legal action due to statements used about him on the internet. According to the information obtained, Yandaş filed a lawsuit through his lawyer, stating that the words of a person named Hüsnü G. targeting him constituted insult. It was stated that the person named Hüsnü G. used the following statements on the internet, targeting Mert Hakan Yandaş: "M.H.Y. is an animal whose meat is not eaten, but which must be hunted." After the statements in question, Yandaş's lawyer took action. The lawsuit petition, prepared on the grounds that the footballer's personal rights were violated, was submitted to the court. Yandaş's lawyer argued that the words used exceeded the limits of criticism and directly targeted his client.
IT WAS EMPHASIZED THAT IT DAMAGED HIS HONOR AND DIGNITY
In the petition submitted to the court, it was alleged that the statements used by Hüsnü G. constituted a clear insult. In the petition, it was emphasized that Mert Hakan Yandaş's personal rights, honor, and dignity were damaged. While it was stated that the footballer was deeply hurt by the incident, it was argued that the statements in question caused moral damage. For these reasons, a claim for 65 thousand lira in non-pecuniary damages was made against Hüsnü G.
